Lee Childs
Lee Childs is the Founder and Lead Instructor at Inside the Minds. He burst onto the poker scene in 2007 when he was able to live every poker player’s dream. He navigated a tournament field of over 6,000 players to find himself sitting at the Final Table of the World Series of Poker Main Event! Lee finished in 7th place and took home just over $700,000!
After that amazing run, Lee was even more dedicated to prove himself at the tables. Having left his job as a Vice President of Technology for a non-profit organization only a month before his WSOP Main Event run, he hit the books and tables even harder than before and began traveling the country playing tournaments and instructing others. He went on to win over $100,000 more in 2007 and to date has racked up over $2.7 Million in live and online tournaments, including a $1,500 WSOP Circuit victory for the coveted ring and $63K!
Lee has spent a lot of time training others how to battle on the felts. He has taught with other poker training organizations including his own company, Acumen Poker, through which he has trained and coached groups and individual players on the intricacies of the game. He wrote a monthly strategy column for Ante Up Magazine and was a frequent guest on their award-winning pokercast.
Lee currently resides in West Virginia with his beautiful wife and their three amazing adopted children. Lee is also a Transformational Life Coach and Wellness Advocate. He continues to be a student of the game and loves to teach others how he prepares and executes at the tables. He has a passion for inspiring others to better themselves and their poker games. He’s adept at working with players of all skill levels and is eager to share his knowledge when you get Inside the Minds!
